Bloomberg Línea: Marco secures $200 million for Latin American exporters

In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg Línea, Marco announced a $200 million committed facility from MidCap Financial and Castlelake, plus $8 million in equity led by Arcadia Funds. By then, it had financed more than $250 million in Latin America.

In February 2023, in an exclusive interview with Bloomberg Línea's Ezra Fieser, Marco announced a $200 million committed funding facility provided by MidCap Financial and Castlelake, along with $8 million in equity led by Arcadia Funds.

By then, Marco had financed more than $250 million in transactions across Latin America over two years, with Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru as priority markets, and had more than 60 employees in Montevideo and New York.

The Bloomberg piece highlighted Peter Spradling's thesis: global capital viewed everything Latin American as riskier, and Marco built the infrastructure to prove the opposite. The Spanish version was published by Perfil, and Fintech Futures expanded the coverage.

“Everything related to Latin America was considered riskier.”
